The purpose of My Lineage Tree is to help individuals and families build, preserve, organize, and share their family history in one place. It provides tools to document relatives, relationships, stories, photographs, important family events, and timelines, while giving users the option with Full Access to save their family-tree files and supported media securely in their own Google Drive.

My Lineage Tree provides a visual family-tree editor for creating relatives and relationships, preserving biographies and media, exploring timelines and generations, applying presentation themes, exporting family trees, and sharing a private read-only family view. Full Access can optionally store the family-tree document and supported media in the user’s own Google Drive.

Google integration
Why My Lineage Tree connects to Google
Google Sign-In is used to authenticate your My Lineage Tree account and may provide your name, email address, profile image and Google account identifier. With Full Access, the optional Google Drive connection uses the limited drive.file permission so My Lineage Tree can create, open and update the family-tree files and supported media it creates for you or that you explicitly make available to the app.
My Lineage Tree does not request access to all files in your Google Drive.
Google user data is used only to provide user-facing My Lineage Tree functionality. It is not sold or used to build advertising profiles.

Save to your Drive
The drive.file permission is used to create, open and update files created by My Lineage Tree or files you explicitly make available to it.
